The Local Police of Origgio and Uboldo (Italy) performs its valuable service to the community on a daily basis. For some years now, it has been intensively digitising and modernising the complex and sensitive activities of land management, citizen and business security. With a view to completing digitisation activities for its officers in the field, the Municipal Police Headquarters needed to set up mobile offices.
In order to choose the most suitable solution for the management and protection of the community and territory, the Local Police Command carried out an in-depth research of the options on the market. After careful evaluation, it opted for the solution proposed by C.I.E. TELEMATICA. The solution, designed ad hoc together with Getac's Solution Team, is based on Getac's F110 fully rugged tablet housed in a vehicle docking, a mounting kit with brackets and plates, vehicle power supply and Getac's rugged keyboard and stems from an awareness of the challenging scenarios and situations in which agents find themselves operating.
The agents immediately appreciated the solution, given its simple interaction with the tablet, its robustness and stability, its high-performance features and its versatility, thanks to its easy attachment and removal from the housing. In addition, with the set-up of a real mobile office, downtime was reduced, indications on the activities to be carried out, the compilation of documentation and reports are sent in real time, without having to return to the command to communicate the information, thus ensuring the optimisation of the presence on the ground. Since the introduction of the new mobile office solution, the police have carried out 173 more checks and ensured greater peace of mind for their citizens.
