ArcelorMittal France, a world leader in steel industry and mining, has no fewer than 40 production sites in France. ArcelorMittal France supplies steel products to meet customers' needs in many industrial sectors, especially the automotive industry. As a result, ArcelorMittal France's factories are located close to the major companies specializing in the European automotive sector, and the group's most important deliveries take place in Europe. As part of its steel industry activities, as well as hot and cold rolling and coating activities, the ArcelorMittal France group was looking for solutions to improve productivity and working conditions.
ArcelorMittal France has been working with Getac since 2020, and after various discussions with the technical sales teams, the group continues to place its trust in Getac's total solutions. The group uses rugged tablets, docking stations, vehicle power adapters, and remote antennas attached directly to the machines to carry out its maintenance and production operations, particularly at the Dunkirk site. Getac's F110 and A140 fully rugged tablets are reliable and well-suited for handling equipment subject to strong vibrations, heat, dust, and intensive screen use.
The Getac rugged solutions selected for ArcelorMittal France offer several advantages. First and foremost, improved connectivity and continuous availability thanks to 4G/5G, two essential elements for carrying out industrial operations without interruption. Also, the A140 tablets, with their 14-inch screen, offer an interface that facilitates viewing thanks to the large screen.
